God Knows All - Day 2

“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” Isaiah 46:9-10

God knows! For all who love the Lord, the thought of Him knowing all things is most comforting. God knows the “end from the beginning.” Which means He exists in all of time because He created time. He knows all of our tomorrows. God knows the secrets of our past, and He knows what will happen in our future, because He is God! Therefore, nothing can possibly take God by surprise.

When Lucifer rebelled against God, God removed him from his position in heaven along with all the angels who followed him. God will not, cannot, allow anyone to take His place. Isaiah 14:15 says, “Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.” Lucifer is a created being and not God. The Lord is the great God and the only uncreated! He is unique, one of a kind. Nothing in all of His creation compares with Him. He needs nothing and no one. No creature can become God. Lucifer had no right to think he could challenge the very one who created him.

All of God’s creation, including the angels, exist by God’s power and authority. God is perfect in all His ways, the greatest and highest authority, and most worthy of all our praise. And because God is perfect, He is therefore perfect in holiness, and in righteousness, and in justice. So, being perfectly just, in all He does, He could not allow Lucifer to remain in heaven in His presence.

Habakkuk 1:13 says, “Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity…”.

Matthew 25:41 says, ”Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels…”

Revelation 20:10 says, “And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”

But this casting into hell will not happen until the final judgement. Hell was not created for man, but for the fallen angels.

“Thank you, Father, for revealing to me that you know everything. Teach me to rely on You because I don’t know much at all. Amen.”
