Perfect Environment - Day 7

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” Psalms 100:1-3

Remember that everything God does is based on who He is. God is perfect, and being perfect, everything He does is perfect. This is why God can proclaim that all He had made was “very good”. Genesis 1:31 says, “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.” I have trouble wrapping my mind around this. It is difficult for me to truly imagine a perfect environment. Don’t get me wrong: I believe this to be absolutely true. But living in a corrupt world like we do - because of sin - I don’t (or maybe can’t) understand what that life would be like. God tells us that His initial creation, before sin, was unspoiled, flawless, faultless, and absolutely perfect, just like God. All of God’s angels were witnesses: watching worshipping, and praising God for demonstrating His power by what He made. Nothing was accomplished by chance or random processes. Because of God’s great love, He planned and created all for our benefit which brings Him glory. What a wonderful God!

He also created a perfect climate for mankind to live in. This brings us back to day two of God’s creation, when He separated the waters and created our atmosphere and placed the water vapor canopy above the firmament. Genesis 1:7 says, “And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.” According to Henry Morris in His book, “The Genesis Record” (see the Resources page), he explains that this water vapor canopy would be invisible and allow the transmission of incoming solar radiation which would create a greenhouse effect all over the earth. The result would be uniformly warm temperatures all over the planet without polar ice caps. With these uniform temperatures there would be virtually no air movement or high winds. With no airflow, there would be no cloud formations and therefore no rain. Harmful radiation from the sun would be absorbed or filtered by the vapor canopy. This canopy would also benefit life on earth by increasing oxygen levels that improve health and longevity. What an amazing creation! What an amazing God! The wonder of creation displays the wonderful God who made it all.

“Thank you, Father, for your revelation of who You are, by what You say, backed by what You do. I love you and will ever worship You. Amen.”
